KSP investigate after Jackson Co. shooting sends 2 to hospital

SAND GAP, Ky. (WTVQ) –Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting that sent two men to the hospital in northern Jackson County.

Troopers say the shooting happened after a fight at a home on HWY 2004.

According to investigators, during the argument, 36-year-old Eric King shot the two men, who were airlifted to University of Kentucky Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

King was arrested and charged with assault, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

He was taken to the Jackson County Detention Center.
