WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Some big things are happening in Winchester’s parks, and some of those things took steps forward Tuesday.
Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation Director Jeff Lewis says one of the biggest is a splash park where the old Eugene Gay pool complex used to be.
The other projects are focused on improving College Park.
Tuesday night the City Commission approved the next step in the rehab of the basketball and tennis courts at the parks. New playground equipment that will be handicapped compliant also is in the works.
The equipment is expected to arrive later this month and be ready for play by mid-September.
