LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – On Saturday, Rock House Brewing hosted a charity run aimed to raise money for families in need. The Nest is a local center that provides resources to victims of domestic abuse. Each year organizers that run the charity event come up with a fun run theme to engage volunteers. This year, it was the Pickle Run after the creation of 2 different pickle flavored sour beers sold by Rock House. 10 percent of all profit from the day went towards the charity. Organizer Sean Cain says he’s glad to do the run this year since it wasn’t possible in 2020.
“Just to help the charities to be able to host people again. Its so clique at this point but to get back to normal it means a lot for us and charities etc,” says Cain.
The 0.5 K race started at noon and consisted of 3 laps around the parking lot.
