FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – Road work will start back up next week on KY 1455, or Mount Moriah Road, in Nicholas County as crews repair embankments.
Starting July 27, the roadway embankment will be worked on at two locations: milepoint 3.4 first, then milepoint 3.5, close to a mile north of US 68 and a mile south of Barterville.
The road will be closed to all thru traffic every weekday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The repairs should take around a week to finish, but could push into early August depending on weather.
Barricades will be set at US 68 and KY 1244. Only local traffic will be allowed past those points. Drivers can take KY 1244 and US 68 as an alternate route. Watch message boards for announcements and traffic changes and pay attention to all warning signs.
