Jessamine County Animal Shelter at capacity

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Jessamine County Animal Shelter is at capacity following a recent rush of animal surrenders.

According to a post on the Jessamine County Animal Care & Control Facebook page, the influx of both stray and owner surrender animals have brought the facility to capacity. This means it cannot accept any new owner surrenders until further notice.

The shelter also urges followers to not hesitate to look at its “adoptable” animals either online or in-person. It is open to the public Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If looking to rehome an animal, the shelter recommended using AdoptAPet‘s rehoming tool.
