MENIFEE, PERRY COUNTIES, Ky. (WTVQ) – Emergency repairs undertaken Tuesday morning on KY 746 in Menifee County have been completed, and the road is back open to traffic.
The road was closed at milepoint 0.2, near the Wolfe County line, due to a drainage pipe failure that caused a hole to develop in the pavement which made the road impassable.
The Menifee County state highway crew finished the repair work early this afternoon, and the road was reopened.
Meanwhile, drivers who use the entrance ramp from Combs Road (KY 80 west/KY 550) to southbound KY 15 in Perry County will need to find another route on Wednesday, July 7.
The ramp will be closed for excavation and paving as work continues on the new four-lane segment of KY 15 and the reconstruction of the interchange.
The ramp will close shortly after 8 a.m., and is expected to reopen late in the afternoon or early in the evening.
No marked detour will be posted.
Eastbound traffic on KY 80 can use the Hal Rogers Parkway between Exit 56 and Exit 59, or Morton Boulevard, to access southbound KY 15. Westbound traffic on KY 550 can use KY 476 through Wabaco and Walkertown to access downtown Hazard.
None of the other three ramps at the interchange will be impacted.
