CORBIN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Corbin man was indicted on multiple charges of theft deception and abuse of public trust.
According to the Corbin Police, Samuel McCoy gave himself an unauthorized pay increase and forged the signature of a chairperson with Corbin Housing Authority.
Police said between April 2018 and April 2021, McCoy stole $98,500.
McCoy was charged with two counts of theft deception under $10,000, two counts of theft deception over $10,000, abuse of public trust and second-degree forgery.
We reached out to Corbin Housing Authority for a comment but they have not responded.
Police said the new director of the Corbin Housing Authority, Dora Mobley, found the discrepancies when she took over the role.
Corbin Police say McCoy has yet to be arrested on these charges.
