LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – One lane of Josephine Road/KY 32 in Scott County has now reopened, with one lane remaining closed.

The contractor will schedule a crew to return to the site for cribbing and backfill work. The final phase of operations will include paving before the route can be opened to two lanes.

UPDATE POSTED 2 P.M. JUNE 11, 2021

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a continued closure for Josephine Road/KY 32 in Scott County. The temporary closure is necessary for slide repair operations by the contractor.

Friday, June 11 – currently and until 7 p.m.

Monday, June 14 through Friday, June 18 – 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. each weekday

Josephine Road/KY 32

  • the road will be closed at milepoint 18.0 for repair operations
  • signage and barricades are in place during the hours of work
  • the lane being repaired has been closed for a period of time due to a slide that occurred during heavy rain/flooding

Alternate Route

  • motorists can utilize Indian Creek Road/KY 1686 to Gaines Road back to Josephine Road/KY 32

All work, and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Motorists will need to be aware of a scheduled closure for Josephine Road/KY 32 in Scott County on June 10. The closure is expected to last from 8 a.m. through 7 p.m.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the necessary closure is due to slide repair operations performed by the contractor.

The road will be closed at milepoint 18.0 for the repairs. One lane has been closed because of a slide that happened during heavy rain and flooding.

Road work and closures are tentative. The situation could change based on weather, emergencies and other factors not controlled by the Department of Highways.
