FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The number of COVID-19 related deaths and the positivity rate were both up Monday compared to the day before in Kentucky, according to statistics from the state.
There were five coronavirus-related deaths, bringing Kentucky’s overall death toll since the pandemic hit to 7,163, according to the state.
There were 129 new cases of COVID-19, eighteen of which were children 18 or younger, according to the state.
The total number of positive cases of the virus since the pandemic hit stands at 462,432, according to the state.
There were 223 people in the hospital battling the coronavirus, 65 in the ICU and 35 on ventilators as of Monday, according to the state.
The positivity rate was 2.08%, up from 2.02% on Sunday, according to the state.
There was not a vaccination update due to delays with the federal reporting database, according to the state.
