LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – LexArts has launched the 2021 Fund for the Arts Campaign, proceeds of which will benefit dozens of artists and arts organizations in the coming year.
Led by a group of business and civic professionals dedicated to the health and vitality of the arts in Lexington and Central Kentucky, this year’s campaign will be critical as the entire arts sector focuses on sustainability and positions itself for a return to normal programming when it is safe to do so.
Members of the 2021 Fund for the Arts Campaign Cabinet are: Anthany Beatty and Eunice Beatty, both of the Anthany and Eunice Beatty Family Foundation; Ted Berge, Independence Bank; Stacy Berge, JP Morgan Chase; Debbie Jones, community volunteer; Larry Jones, Community Trust Bank; Julie Quick, artist; and Bob Quick, Commerce Lexington.
“We are incredibly fortunate to have the support of this passionate group of leaders,” said Ame Sweetall, LexArts president and CEO. “Our artists and arts organizations have suffered greatly during the pandemic and they need and deserve the support of many now more than ever. This talented and committed campaign cabinet is a dynamic team who understands the critical role that the arts play in our community and each of them will serve as extraordinary advocates throughout the campaign.”
The 2021 Fund for the Arts Campaign will run through June 20. Gifts to the campaign may be made at LexArts.org/GIVE.
