LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington reported 197 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths Tuesday, bringing the totals to 28,702 cases and 191 deaths since the outbreak began in March 2020.
So far the county has recorded 5,308 cases in January, according to the Lexington-Fayette County Heal;th Department’s morning report Wednesday.

While the vaccine rollout remains positive news, residents still need to help slow the spread of COVID-19 by following these guidelines all the time:
- Wear a cloth face-covering in public
- Avoid close contact with others
- Wash your hands often
- Stay home if you are sick.
