LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department reported 150 new COVID-19 cases Monday and two new deaths. Thew new figures bring the total to 28,505 cases and 189 deaths since the outbreak began in March 2020.
According to the health department, “the vaccine rollout is fantastic news”. However, officials say it’s important people continue to follow guidelines to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
That includes wearing a cloth face-covering in public, avoiding close contact with others, washing your hands often and staying home if you’re sick.
