Free holiday STEM virtual family night coming up


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) –  Join The PocketLab and Jason Lindsey, aka “Mr. Science,” with Hooked on Science, this Saturday, December 19, at 3 p.m. Eastern for Holiday STEM Virtual Family Night!

More than 150 already have registered for the free event. Participants discover the science secret behind how Santa gets down the chimney, watch as a human circuit powers a gigantic Christmas light, create a holiday fireball, and more.

Lindsey, aka “Mr. Science,” is a nationally-recognized STEM educator, meteorologist, and author. He’s appeared on the NBC Today Show, Fox & Friends, RFD-TV, WeatherNation, and television stations, across the United States, getting America “Hooked on Science.”

He’s also chief meteorolgist at WTVQ ABC 36 News in Lexington.

Jason visits hundreds of schools each year inspiring kids to be inquisitive about the world around them and to develop a long-term interest in science and math. Hooked on Science programs are the first, nationally, to earn Sensory Inclusive™ Certification, which means all Hooked on Science programs are certified for kids with autism and other sensory needs.
