LISTEN: Frederick Douglass High School’s first virtual choir production

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Frederick Douglass High School’s choir in Lexington held its first-ever virtual choir, video production.

Choir Director Jordan Lindsey says students, parents, and teachers have struggled with virtual learning this semester, so he wanted to share something good that the students were able to accomplish.

Though it’s different from the norm, he says the performance still gave him chills.

“I spent a lot of time listening to the audio of this, putting the videos together and stuff, so I had the opportunity really to have more goose bump moments,” Lindsey says.

Senior Chance Ridgeway has been in the choir since his freshman year. He says regardless of the format, he’s glad to have performed with his choir-mates.

“I still had that feeling of ‘wow, that was us,’ that you get after our live concerts,” Ridgeway says.
