CARTER COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Department of Highways will keep part of KY 2078 near Globe in Carter County closed around-the-clock through Friday for repairs.
Beginning Nov. 30, and continuing through Friday, Dec. 4, crews will close KY 2078 all day, each day between Black Oak and Tojo roads (milepoint 0.9) about a mile from the US 60 intersection at Globe to make slide repairs and replace a drainage pipe.
The roadway is barricaded at the work site. All through traffic should detour using US 60 through Globe and Olive Hill.
Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
