Luminate Lexington includes the following activities: Unified Trust Company Ice Rink, the
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony presented by Baird, and Lexington’s Reverse Christmas Parade presented by Baird.

This year, Lexington’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, presented by Baird, will take place on Sunday, November, 29, from 6–6:30 p.m. Due to COVID-19 and concerns regarding large crowds, the Tree Lighting Ceremony will be live streamed via Zoom and there will not be an onsite lighting ceremony.

To register for the Zoom video visit Downtownlex.com.

Lexington’s Reverse Christmas Parade, presented by Baird, will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 12. The reverse parade will be held on Midland Ave between Winchester Road and Main Street. Guests will remain in their vehicles as they drive down Midland to experience floats, music, and of course, Santa!

Following the reverse parade, guests are encouraged to travel down Main Street and enjoy trees covered in white lights, and buildings lit for the season. At Triangle Park (corner of Main Street of Broadway), Lexington’s Official Christmas Tree will be decorated and lit up for all to enjoy.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to change our plans for Lexington’s Reverse Christmas Parade! We think this is an opportunity for our entire community to celebrate the holiday season in downtown, while remaining safe with members of their individual households,” said Laura Farnsworth, Senior Event Director at Downtown Lexington Partnership.

The Unified Trust Company Ice Rink is now open for the season, and will remain open until mid January. More details, include COVID-19 protocol and procedures, can be found at Downtownlex.com.
