Small plane crashes in Cynthiana

CYNTHIANA, Ky. (WTVQ) – A small, private plane crashed in Harrison County on Thursday night, according to The Cynthiana Democrat.

The newspaper reports the plane was trying to land and clipped the top of trees and crashed into the ground near the airport around 6:45 p.m.

The newspaper quotes the Harrison County sheriff who says there were three men onboard the plane.  The report says all three were taken by ambulance to a hospital in Lexington.  No names were released.

The report says the FAA and NTSB are on the scene investigating the crash.
