Harlan bridge replacement to close road two months


HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 11 Office advises motorists a bridge construction project in Harlan County starts Monday.

This project will replace the Britton Creek Road bridge over Britton Creek., and will include a detour. The detour will use Huskey Lane, and will run for 0.3 miles. The bridge is expected to open to traffic on Friday, January 8.

This bridge is part of the Bridging Kentucky programs Eastern Kentucky Design-Build Project No.1. The project is being delivered by a design-build team led by Central Bridge Co., LLC J/V Bizzack Construction LLC and HDR Engineering, Inc.
