Officers find escaped Powell County inmate

STANTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- An hour after he reportedly escaped the Powell County Detention Center, 35-year-old Edward Hall of Beattyville was back behind bars.

The Stanton Police Department says the detention center reported Hall’s escape October 30th around 6:00 p.m.

After a short search near the jail, officers say they found, and arrested, Hall in less than an hour.

The department says Hall will now face a charge of Escape 2nd degree in addition to the burglary charges he already faced.
