Deputies Charlie Johnson and Dustin Saylor charged him with first-degree burglary, first-degree strangulation, and third-degree terroristic threats.

The arrest occurred off Hoot Owl Lane approximately eight miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a call of a man who had forced his way into a home. The woman who owned the house was outside and saw Boggs, who she knew, break into the home, Root said.

She confronted the man and they argued before he assaulted and strangled her, threatening to kill her, according to the Root. She managed to get away and back to her car, locking herself inside while calling 911.

Boggs smashed the front window but realized she had called police and fled through nearby woods, but was located on Hoot Owl Lane and arrested without incident, according to the sheriff.
