And for the most part, voters say they were happy to get voting out of the way with little to no wait time.

“I don’t like crowds anyway and with this pandemic going on, it just felt better to come today,” said voter Carl Blakeman, who took advantage of the opening day in Fayette County, which has eight in-person voting locations.

There are eight early voting locations in Fayette County open from from 8:30 A.M. to 4 P.M. weekdays and on Saturdays 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. It is important to have with a photo ID, like your driver’s license.

Here are the in-person polling locations:

  • Tates Creek Branch Library, 3628 Walden Dr.
  • Northside Branch Library, 1733 Russell Cave Road
  • Beaumont Branch Library, 3080 Fieldstone Way
  • Dunbar Center, 545 N. Upper St.
  • Lexington Senior Center, 195 Life Lane (behind Southland Christian Church on Richmond Road)
  • BCTC Leestown Campus, 164 Opportunity Way
  • Wellington Elementary, 3280 Keithshire Way
  • Garrett Morgan Elementary, 1150 Passage Mound Way
