UPDATE: I-75 back open following Richmond accident

UPDATE – (9/22/20 10:30 A.M.) – The interstate has reopened following a crash Tuesday morning. According to KYTC, I-75 North opened up just befrore 10:30 A.M. after a crash near mile marker 90 several hours earlier.

Crews cleaned up the scene which included a fuel leak. The interstate was shutdown for several hours.

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Drivers should avoid part of I-75 North this morning in Madison County following a crash.

According to Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials, the crash happened just before 7:30 a.m. near mile marker 90 and has shutdown I-75 in that area.

Traffic officials say emergency crews are working a crash involving fuel that spilled out. No reports of any injuries. Clean-up is underway. No word on when the interstate will reopen.

In addition to her background on TV, Erica has worked in radio, served as the PA announcer for the Class A "Lansing Lugnuts" and hosted Carnival parades in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Some of her favorite hobbies include running, reading, hiking, spending time with her husband and taking pictures of their furbabies. Erica is big on community involvement, having served as a board member for Dress for Success, volunteered as a Big with Big Brothers Big Sisters, worked on the Mayor's Armed Forces Commission in Lake Charles and hosted countless events.
