RADCLIFF, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky Lottery says the winner has claimed the winning $3 million Gold Rush Scratch-off ticket.
The winner told Kentucky Lottery they wish to remain anonymous and declined to comment.
The winner chose to take the game’s lump sum payment of $2,514,835. Winners of $3,000,000 have the option of receiving $150,000 per year for 20 years or a lump sum cash payment of $2,514,835 less minimum required taxes, according to Ky. Lottery.
The $30 Gold Rush ticket was purchased at W2BP in Radcliff. Kentucky Lottery says the retailer will receive a $25,148 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The $30 Gold Rush game has two $3,000,000 top prizes remaining.
This prize ties with the largest prize ever awarded.
The other was a $3 million top prize offered on the $30 Break Fort Knox ticket which was released in February 2019. There are still three top prize remaining on the Break Fort Knox game.
