LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Chick-fil-A restaurant could be coming to north Lexington, according to a report in the Lexington Herald-Leader.
Plans for the new restaurant were filed with the city on August 31, 2020, according to the report.
The potential new site is the former spot of Jalapeno’s Mexican Restaurant on New Circle Road near Russell Cave Road, according to the report.
Chick-fil-A would not comment to the Lexington Herald-Leader on when construction might begin.
The company gave the newspaper a statement:
“We are always evaluating potential new locations in the hopes of serving existing and new customers great food with remarkable service. We would very much like to have more restaurants in the Lexington area, but we have no new locations to confirm at this time.”
If the restaurant is built, it would be the eighth Chick-fil-A in Lexington. That number includes two on the University of Kentucky campus and one in Fayette Mall.
