FBI needs help; new ‘area of interest’ in Crystal Rodgers case

NELSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The FBI is looking for information about a new “area of interest” in connection to the disappearance of Crystal Rogers five years ago in Bardstown.

The agency says it wants to hear from anyone who was around Poplar Flat Road and Farmaway Drive early on July 4, 2015. Rogers was last seen the day before.

The website has testimonials from people close to Rogers. One statement from her daughter reads: “Since my mom’s been missing, life has been really hard. I always wonder what my life would be like if she and my papaw was still here.”

The FBI recently took over the case, following that announcement up with a lot of activity, including releasing two new surveillance images of cars and searching homes the Houck family owns.

Brooks Houck, Rogers’ boyfriend, has always been the primary suspect in the case.

The bureau is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to a conviction in rogers’ case.
