LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Sometimes it comes down to basics.

RMH-Essity2: Essity’s donated toilet paper will be utilized at the Ronald McDonald House located in Lexington, as the house will soon double its family capacity once COVID-19 restrictions allow.

Recognizing that, Essity, a leading global hygiene and health company with local operations in Harrodsburg, donated 10 cases (860 rolls) of toilet paper to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass (RMHCB) Wednesday morning to help with the organization’s continued support of families of seriously ill children who are locally hospitalized at the University of Kentucky’s Children’s Hospital.

“The reach our Lexington house has in the Central Kentucky area is truly incredible. We’re able to impact families from near and far who are in need of our community’s support, especially during these uncertain times,” said Nate Graham, executive director of RMH Bluegrass. “With the help of Essity’s generous donation, we can focus on providing our families with a safe, comfortable stay while their children receive the medical care they need.”

Don Lewis, president of Essity Professional Hygiene, adds “As this pandemic persists, we’re happy to lend a hand to our neighbors in Lexington whose priority is keeping their high-risk family members safe, healthy, and on their journey to healing at the RMH Bluegrass.”
