TYNER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two men suspected of robbing a Dollar General store in Jackson County manage to escape Kentucky State Police and other law enforcement.
TAccording to the KSP, troopers were called to the Dollar General on Creech Hollow Road in Jackson County shortly after 1 p.m. Monday. A man apparently entered the store armed with a handgun, demanded money, and fled with an undetermined amount of cash, the KSP said in a release.
He left in a white 2005 Kia sedan, heading north on Highway 421.
Not long after, McKee Police spotted the car on KY 89 in Jackson County. But before officers could get it stopped, the car drove into a ditch and two men fled into a wooded area on foot, troopers said.
KSP, McKee Police, and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office searched the area, but were unable to locate the men. One of the men was described as a white male with a brown beard, who was wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and a camouflage ball cap.
