LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police released a series of videos showing body camera video of protests from a police officer’s perspective.
Lexington Police says it hopes in releasing the videos people will see for themselves the emotional and physical stress officers are going through as protesters express their anger with police.
Many protesters have had face-to-face tense encounters with officers. But on the other hand, police have prayed and communicated with protesters too.
A note for readers, keep in mind the video released is edited by police before its release. It shows footage over the last two weeks from May 31 to Friday night June 12.
The statement posted on Lexington Police’s Facebook continues to say Lexington Police realizes it’s not about them during this movement, but it will work towards being better and towards more transparency.
