CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police think a medical emergency may have led to a fatal crash Sunday in Taylor County.
According to the KSP, 76-year-old Taylor Hunt, of Campbellsville, died following the accident, which happened at about 9:30 Sunday morning on KY 210 four miles north of Campbellsville.
Troopers received a complaint of a reckless driver and found a 2007 Chevrolet pickup matching the description going westbound on KY 210. When they tried to stop the truck, it continued, running off the road several times before finally leaving the road and smashing into a culvert, troopers said in a release.
Hunt was taken to Taylor Regional Hospital and later to University of Louisville Hospital where he died from his injuries, according to the KSP.
Hunt was not wearing a seat belt and is suspected to have had a medical emergency, the KSP said in the release.
