CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Roots Branch Road — County Road 1255 — in Clay County will be closed near its intersection with Kentucky Highway 80 starting Monday, April 6.
Crews are replacing a bridge at mile point 2.970, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The road is expected to re-open Wednesday, May 20.
A signed detour will be in place while the bridge closure is in effect. The detour route will be via Reynolds Road.
This bridge is part of the Transportation Cabinets Bridging Kentucky program to rehabilitate, repair or replace closed structures,, meet weight limits and improve bridge lifespans.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays, and to use safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
