LEBANON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 21-year-old Lebanon man is charged with murder in the shooting death of another man, according to officials.
According to Kentucky State Police, Treyvon Downs was charged and is being held in the Marion County Detention Center.
Lebanon Police and Kentucky State Police responded to a shooting call on Oak Street at about 6:25 Tuesday morning and found 28-year-old Tevaughn Porter, of Lebanon, suffering from a gunshot wound in the yard, the KSP said in a press release.
The Marion County coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.
Downs was developed as a suspect and was charged after being interviewed by Det. B.J. Burton, according to the KSP.
Porter was pronounced deceased by the Marion County Coroner.
This incident remains under investigation by Burton, who was assisted at the scene by additional units from the Kentucky State Police Post 15, the Marion County Coroners office and the Lebanon Police Department.
