UPDATE: Man accused of murdering Lexington woman arrested


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say an arrest has been made in the shooting death of 35-year-old Crystal Howard.

Police say 21-year-old Joseph M. Gonzalez was arrested by U.S. Marshals Friday afternoon in Shelbyville.

Gonzalez is charged with murder, robbery and wanton endangerment, according to police.  No other details were released.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington Police say a woman found shot to death in her bed has been identified.

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman as 35-year-old Crystal Howard.

The house is in the 400 block of Shaftsbury Road, near a Kroger off east New Circle Road.

The initial call came in Thursday around 11:00 p.m.

A neighbor ABC 36 News talked to says she’s considering moving because of the homicide.

“Now, we’re just going to have to start looking out for each other and looking out for ourselves, also.  It’s kinda scary, it really is,” says Robin Carter.

So far, no arrests in the case.
