GLASGOW, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say a man who blamed his girlfriend for a stab wound was actually the attacker.
The Glasgow Police Department says officers were sent to Happy Valley Road because of a complaint that someone had been stabbed.
Upon arriving, officers say they found Clayton Wilson with the stab wound on his hand. They say Wilson told them his girlfriend had stabbed him.
Investigators say they determined that Wilson had assaulted the woman before he punched a mirror, causing the deep wound. They say Wilson had thrown the woman to the ground, punched and choked her.
Officers say Wilson was sent to the hospital and became combative with them. They say the woman was also sent to the hospital.
Police say they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside a backpack that belonged to Wilson.
Wilson is charged with strangulation, terroristic threatening, assault and several other offenses.
