LCSO: Toddler found covered in dog poop, adults facing abuse charges

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says Joey Ridener and Tammy Hammons, both from London, have been arrested and charged with criminal abuse during a welfare check Friday morning in a home off Park Subdivision Road.

According to deputies, a two year was found playing in dog poop in a home. The baby’s feet was covered in dog poop. Deputies allegedly found the child playing with a bottle of bleach as well.

LCSO Deputies also found urine on the floor and say the home had trash and more poop around the residents in some locations up to an inch deep.

According to the release, Ridener nor Hammons could remember the last time the toddler had a bath.

Both Ridener and Hammons are currently lodged in the Laurel County correctional center.
