Rival schools team up to support Jessamine County kids with cancer


NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Basketball players and fans from East and West Jessamine County High Schools supported the children of two of the district’s teachers battling childhood cancer during a rivalry game Friday night.

Each team wore shirts with the messages #CourageousCaroline and #MightyMolly on the back in support of 4th grade Warner student Caroline Meeker and Nicholasville 1st grader Molly Reynolds.

The t-shirts were sold at the game to raise money for childhood cancer research.
A blood drive is scheduled for the week of February 7 as part of a friendly competition between the two schools.
