People who live in Warren County can now get REAL ID’s


WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A newly-opened regional state office in Bowling Green is now providing REAL ID access to people who live in Warren County.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the opening is a soft launch of the state-operated regional license office that will open this spring.

People who live in Warren County who have a valid driver’s license, permit, or personal ID, may visit the office to get the Voluntary Travel ID. People must also present a valid social security number and two valid proofs of residency.

Beginning October 1, 2020, Kentuckians will need at least one form of REAL ID, which includes the Voluntary Travel ID, passport, and military ID. Only people with valid forms of REAL ID will be allowed to board domestic flights, visit military bases and federal buildings.

The office in Bowling Green is located next to Starbucks at 360 East Eighth Avenue.  It is open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
