FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Another horse was rescued from a area where rescuers believe the horses could be in danger.

Dumas rescue has been working over the last month to try and rescue horses from a free-roaming herd in Floyd county.

This is the same herd were 20 horses were shot and killed in December.

Dumas Rescue volunteers say they had three horses almost corralled when the volunteers say they heard gunshots, scaring the horses off.

They were able to safely rescue one filly they believe to be the daughter to another horse they previously rescued.
