LPD: Teens shoot man in attempted robbery in Lexington


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say a man is expected to be okay after he was shot in an attempted robbery in Lexington Thursday night.

The Lexington Police Department says a call came in around 8:00 p.m. about a shooting on Sixth Street and Elm Tree Lane.

Police say a group of teenagers approached a man and demanded money. According to officers, the man refused to give them the money and the teens shot him.

Police say the man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
