Investigators say a pickup truck exited a parking lot and was making a left turn to go north on U.S. 25 when the driver hit 57-year-old Rebecca Bolte, who was crossing the street.

Officers say the dark and rainy conditions made it difficult for the driver to see Bolte.

According to police, Bolte was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries.

Investigators say no criminal charges are expected to be filed as a result of the crash.
