RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Eastern Kentucky University is looking for a new president.
Michael Benson announced Wednesday he is stepping down as the university’s president on January 6, 2020.
Benson says he is under contract to write a book on the first president of Johns Hopkins University, and will use the next year to do research and write.
EKU is expected to announce an interim president Thursday.
Benson has served as EKU’s president since 2013.
