Help-Portrait Lexington to be held this Saturday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Volunteer photographers, hairstylists and makeup artists will come together on Saturday in Lexington to take portrait’s for people who can’t afford them.

Help-Portrait is about giving the pictures, not taking them. These portraits aren’t for a portfolio, website, or sale.  It’s about giving people who otherwise couldn’t afford photography, a chance to capture a moment, a memory and a whole lot more, according to organizers.

Andrew Fore has been spearheading the local Help-Portrait effort for the past eight years.

“Help-Portrait is such a blessing to our guests, volunteers, and community,” said Fore. “This effort allows us to serve as the hands and feet of Christ, love on our fellow man, and bring light into the hearts and lives of those most in need during this season of thanksgiving.”

Help-Portrait draws families and individuals from all over central and eastern Kentucky.

The event will be held 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 7 at Southland Christian Church’s Richmond Road Campus (Parkside Theater) located at 2349 Richmond Road in Lexington.
