MANCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Homes were damaged in two separate fires on Thanksgiving Day in Clay County.
Manchester firefighters say they were called to a fire at 5:15 a.m. on White Branch Road, where they found heavy fire and a collapsed home.
Firefighters say neighbors told them the occupants of the home had been having a problem with their electrical box. Firefighters also say the same home caught fire the night before, but crews were able to quickly put it out before it caused widespread damage.
In a separate fire around 2:15 p.m., Manchester firefighters battled a mobile home fire on Smith Hollow Road. No injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation.
