Teacher pleads guilty to stealing money from school

CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Dixie Rigney has pleaded guilty to stealing money from George Rogers Clark High School.

According to court documents, 61-year-old Rigney pleaded guilty last Thursday
to charges of stealing $219 thousand from the student activity account at the high school. Court records also show she pleaded guilty to tampering with physical evidence and forgery.

Rigney was accused of forging the receipts at the school when she reportedly stole the cash, between July 2010 and January 2019.

Sentencing is scheduled for February 13.
