Fatal crash in Laurel county


LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A fatal crash happened in Laurel County Saturday afternoon on US25 according to Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say that a car lost control on the wet roadway and slid backwards and struck a SUV.

The driver killed was pronounced dead a short time later at St. Joseph Hospital; however, their name and information about them won’t be released until after next of kin has been notified.

Three other occupants in the vehicle were also taken to St. Joseph Hospital with serious injuries, according to the release.

The investigation in currently ongoing.
