LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – It’s a sprint to the finish line in the Governor’s race.
The race is between current Governor and Republican, Matt Bevin, Democrat and current Attorney General, Andy Beshear, and libertarian John Hicks.
Andy Beshear and his running mate Jacqueline Coleman aren’t slowing down their campaign efforts.
Beshear has been on a six day bus tour across the state encouraging people to get out and vote for him.
“The future of public education and the future of healthcare are on the line in this election. We’re going to have a big voter turnout so make your plans now to vote,” said Andy Beshear.
On Monday, Beshear was in Western Kentucky. His father and former two-term Kentucky Governor, Steve Beshear joined him.
“Ladies and gentlemen for the next 8 years west Kentucky is going to have a seat at the table again. Andy Beshear, you’re next Governor,” said Steve Beshear.
Beshear’s strategy is making phone calls and knocking on doors. At one of his stops in Paducah, Beshear knocked on his 1,000,000th door.
Election day is on Tuesday.
