LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The family of the two women killed in a fiery wreck faced their accused killer in court on Tuesday.

Police say Tammy Rodriguez was driving drunk almost three weeks ago when she drove the wrong way on I-75 killing her own sister and two other sisters from Georgetown.

The mother of Caitlyn Bailey and Taylor Blevins was in the court room and says facing her daughter’s accused killer was one of the hardest things she’s ever had to face.

Christy Bailey is their mom and she says every night she goes to bed and wakes up hoping it was just a dream. Every morning, she says she’s forced to remember.

“I dread going to sleep at night because I know when I wake up I’m going to have that same feeling again,” said Christy Bailey, Mother.

Caitlyn and Taylor’s sister, Peyton Combs says all five of their siblings are close.

“They were everything to me,” said Peyton Combs, Sister.

Combs has two little girls of her own. She says her daughters are trying to understand why their aunts aren’t coming to see them.

The family says they think Rodriguez’ charges including murder, DUI, and driving without a license are fair.

The girls’ mother says she wants stricter laws against drunk drivers.

Rodriguez is due back in court on October 1st in Fayette County.
