CAMPTON, Ky.(WTVQ) — Kentucky State Police arrested a Wolfe County man for child exploitation Thursday.
State police say they arrested 25-year-old Aaron C. Spencer on charges related to prohibited use of electronic communication system to procure a minor.
They say Spencer was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.
The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect communicating with a juvenile online about meeting to have sexual intercourse, according to KSP.
State Police say they seized electronic equipment at an apartment and it’s now at KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.
The investigation is ongoing.
Spencer is currently charged with prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor, sexual abuse, and distribution of obscene matter to a minor.
He was lodged in the Three Forks Regional Jail.
