Anderson County Schools reports local law enforcement has given the schools the “all clear” and the lockdown has been lifted.
No further details were given.
ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Several schools in Anderson County were placed on lockdown Tuesday morning after a report of a suspicious person on foot near the school.
Anderson County Schools took to social Media, writing, “ACHS, SSE and ACMS are currently on lockdown as a precaution as law enforcement investigates report of suspicious person on foot near school.”
School officials say all schools are aware and are taking precautions, “There is no threat inside of any of the school buildings.”
Anderson County High School, Saffell Street Elementary School and Anderson County Middle School were all affected.
