Anderson County firefighters rescue driver trapped in car after wreck

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Anderson County firefighters rescued a driver trapped in a car Sunday.

Firefighters went to a rollover crash on Glensboro Road just past 395 around 1 a.m. Firefighters say the car was on its side in the westbound ditch and one person was trapped, but was not hurt.

The department says firefighters had to wrap a cable around a tree and use a pulley to help remove the windows and open the roof. Then the person trapped in the car was able to walk out.

The fire department says several of those rescuers had taken part in an eight hour training the day before and had another eight hours scheduled for the next day.
