LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – University of Kentucky students are busy moving in this week. Lexington city officials say they’re expecting around 2,000 students Monday and Wednesday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day.
Drivers should be aware of UK police directing traffic. Several street closures and new traffic patterns are in place. You can view a full list HERE.
While move-in is in full swing, University of Kentucky Student Transitions and Family Programs, formerly known as the Student Services Center, is preparing for K Week, a kick-off to the fall semester, jam packed with more than 100 events to welcome new students to the university.
K Week 2019 begins Wednesday, Aug. 21 and ends Sunday, Aug. 25. Continuing where “see blue.” U Orientation leaves off, the weeklong event helps students get acclimated to their new home.
